Appraisal Services
Disputing the amount of loss? Appraisal may be the answer.
Most property policies include an appraisal clause. When you and your insurance company agree that a loss is covered but disagree on how much it is worth, either side can request appraisal. Each side picks its own appraiser, the two appraisers choose a neutral umpire, and an agreement signed by any two of the three sets the amount of loss.
How ClaimPros helps
- Policy and estimate review: We read your policy’s appraisal clause and the insurer’s estimate, and tell you whether appraisal makes sense for your claim.
- Experienced appraisers: Our licensed professionals serve as your appointed appraiser on residential and commercial losses.
- Detailed documentation: We prepare line-item estimates, photos, measurements and supporting records for the building, contents, and business income.
- Clear process: We handle the demand, the selection of an umpire, the inspections and the negotiations, and keep you updated at every step.
Types of losses we appraise
Hurricane and wind, hail, water and plumbing, fire and smoke, roof, mold, and business interruption claims, for homes, condos, HOAs, apartments, and commercial buildings.
Is appraisal right for you?
Appraisal decides the amount of a loss, not whether it is covered. Requirements and timelines vary by policy and by state. Call us for a free policy review and we’ll explain your options.
